What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Personal Data

I use the data that you supply me with for the purposes of running my store, preparing and fulfilling orders and answering any questions that you may have.

The website is protected by Secure Sockets Layer technology.

Financial Information

All financial transactions are carried out on the PayPal site and I do not have access to any of your financial details.

Marketing

I would very much like to stay in touch with you and let you know about new products and promotions, but I will not do so unless you sign up to my newsletter by adding your name to the form that can be accessed from the top of the website.

Cookies

If you visit my login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you use the shop, we are obliged to use cookies to remember the items that you have put into your cart and purchased. These cookies will persist for 2 hours and then be removed.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We also use Google Analytics to track website usage and use anonymised cookies for this purpose.

Who we share your data with

  1. Suppliers of services such as delivery companies who need to know your details in order for me to fulfil your order.
  2. If you create an account, your data will be stored on my host company server. The company that runs the website and shop for me, Source Marketing, will also have access to the server, but will not store any of your personal details.
  3. Financial or other authorities who may legally require me to provide certain documents and information.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

It is also possible that your data may be backed up to a third party service such as Google Drive which has servers outside of the EU. We undertake only to use companies that have internationally recognised security procedures such as Privacy Shield.
